The Board of Directors of the 'John F. Kennedy' Center in Washington DC, now led by associates of President Donald Trump, has decided to rename the institution to 'Trump-Kennedy Center'. The White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, welcomed this decision, highlighting the president's work to save the building from financial and reputational perspectives.
Trump, who has turned his name into a brand, previously joked about renaming the center. Under the new leadership, the Kennedy Center has eliminated events that celebrate the LGBT community and has invited right-wing religious groups. Additionally, ticket sales have decreased since Trump and his allies took control of the cultural institution.
