Following the Ukrainian attacks on oil terminals and chartered oil tankers, Kazakhstan has decided to establish a school for military drone operators. Over 300 cadets from the last year of study at the Military Institute 'General of the Army Sagadat Nurmagambetov' are preparing to operate FPV drones. The Ministry of Defense announced that, with the help of experienced instructors, they are gaining experience in the use of unmanned systems, which have revolutionized combat methods.
The courses include studying the characteristics of drones, their maintenance, and practical exercises in simulators, as well as real flights to develop reaction skills in unusual situations. The school has a special runway for competitions, and the goal is to ensure a highly qualified personnel in the armed forces, capable of using modern technologies for national security. Kazakhstan, which has maintained a neutral position in the Russo-Ukrainian conflict, has been affected by Ukrainian attacks on its maritime infrastructure.
