Katy Perry harshly criticized the White House for using her song "Firework" in a video illustrating U.S. military attacks in Iran, published on July 23 on the official TikTok page of the White House.

The artist stated that she is "deeply dismayed and angry," emphasizing that "I did not approve this, I was not asked, and I do not tolerate it in any case." Perry explained that she composed the song as an anthem of hope and inner strength, and its use in the context of violence represents a violation of its message.

At the same time, the White House continued its military campaign against Iran, despite opposition from Congress.

Perry joins other artists, such as Ariana Grande, Kesha, and Nancy Sinatra, who have criticized the use of their songs by the White House without permission. They emphasize that their music should not be associated with violence or controversial actions.
