According to an Odoxa-Mascaret survey, Jordan Bardella, the president of the National Rally (RN), is in a favorable position to win the presidential elections in France, regardless of his opponent. Bardella has become the preferred political figure of the French, with 39% favorable opinions, up from 36% in October, surpassing Marine Le Pen, who remains at 35%. The survey suggests that Bardella could be the official candidate of the RN, having 44% support among voters, compared to 37% for Le Pen.
In a first round, Bardella would receive 35% of the votes, compared to 17% for Édouard Philippe, considered the strongest rival. In the second round, Bardella would win in all tested scenarios, with the highest percentages against Jean-Luc Mélenchon (74%) and Raphaël Glucksmann (58%). However, the president of Odoxa, Gaël Sliman, warned that these results should be interpreted with caution, considering that voting intentions a year and a half before the elections are not always predictable.
