The 2025 Nobel Prize winners in Economics, Joel Mokyr, Philippe Aghion, and Peter Howitt, were recognized for explaining economic growth based on innovation. Mokyr received half of the prize, while Aghion and Howitt shared the other half. The Royal Swedish Academy emphasized the importance of raising awareness of the threats to continuous economic growth.
