The Vice President of the USA, JD Vance, discussed negotiations with Greenland, stating that they will take place in the coming months. He emphasized the importance of Greenland for the national security of the United States and criticized allies, especially Denmark, for insufficient investments in Arctic security.
Vance stated that if the USA invests more in this region, it is reasonable to expect benefits in return. Greenland's Foreign Minister, Vivian Motzfeldt, acknowledged progress in discussions but mentioned that they have not yet reached a desired point and that the road to a final agreement will be long.
