Japan's SLIM spacecraft has landed on the Moon, confirming the country as a global space power. The probe touched down on the lunar surface at around 10:20 a.m. ET, a success for Japan, which has abandoned other moon landing attempts in the past. The achievement marks Japan's ascension in the space race.
