Takahiro Shiraishi, known as the 'Twitter Killer', was executed on Friday in Japan, convicted of murdering and dismembering nine people between 2017. The victims, lured via social media, had suicidal thoughts. The execution represents the first since 2022 and took place at the Tokyo detention center. The trial was marked by disputes over the victims' consent, and Shiraishi has said he will not appeal the sentence.
