At the 'Central Asia + Japan' summit held in Tokyo, the leaders of Japan and five Central Asian countries agreed to strengthen cooperation in essential areas such as critical minerals and distribution networks. Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi emphasized the importance of the region as a strategic route between Asia and Europe, in the context of international changes.

Participants set an investment target of approximately 16.23 billion euros over the next five years, by signing more than 150 public and private agreements. Among these is a plan for infrastructure development in Uzbekistan, valued at 812 million euros. The summit also addressed the strengthening of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, essential for diversifying supply, in the context of deteriorating relations with Russia. Bilateral meetings are also expected to promote cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and energy transition.
