Jaishankar arrived in Beijing for the SCO meeting, where he discussed with Xi Jinping recent developments in China-India relations after years of territorial tensions. This is the first visit by a senior Indian official to China since the 2020 Galwan Valley incident. Both ministers emphasized the importance of reducing tensions and avoiding border friction, while Jaishankar called for the SCO's support for a zero-tolerance policy on terrorism.
