Jair Bolsonaro, former president of Brazil, has been in detention since November and was recently transferred to a single cell, according to a decision by Judge Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Court. The decision allows Bolsonaro to receive visits, to be exposed to sunlight, to exercise, and to benefit from physiotherapy, considering his health issues, including the aftereffects of a stabbing attack in 2018 and a recent hospitalization for an inguinal hernia. He also suffers from recurrent hiccups. His family and lawyers have criticized the previous detention conditions and requested that he be placed under house arrest, a request denied by the judge.
