The son of former ambassador Caroline Kennedy, Schlossberg was educated at Yale and Harvard and has an active presence on social media. The position he is targeting is currently held by Jerry Nadler, who will retire after a long career in Congress. Schlossberg is a supporter of socialist mayor Zohran Mamdani, and Robert Kennedy Jr., the Secretary of Health in the Trump administration, is his cousin.
