He explained that they are part of the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and will have a consultative role, providing expertise in analyzing criminal threats. Collaboration with ICE has existed for over a decade, and the Italian police have benefited from useful information in combating international crime.

For the security of the Olympic Games, approximately 6,000 members of the law enforcement forces will be mobilized, including military personnel and special equipment. However, protests are also expected regarding the ecological impact of the event and Israel's participation, with activists planning demonstrations during the opening ceremony. The Italian government has allocated significant funds to ensure security, highlighting the importance of international collaboration in the context of such major events.
