The Civil Defense in Gaza reported on Tuesday that eight people, including a woman, were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a Palestinian police station located west of the Jabalia refugee camp. Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza confirmed the receipt of the bodies of the eight victims.
The Israeli army confirmed the attack, stating that it targeted 'terrorists', but did not provide further details. The Islamist movement Hamas condemned the attack and announced that the head of the police station was among those killed.
Although Hamas announced the dissolution of its civil administration on July 6, the group remains dominant in Gaza. Israel and Hamas continue to accuse each other of violating the ceasefire agreement, amid ongoing tensions in the region.
