The Israeli Cyber Security Directorate announced on Tuesday that it has discovered Iranian cyber attacks targeting surveillance cameras used for espionage purposes. Since the beginning of the offensive by Israel and the US against Iran on February 28, dozens of attacks have been identified, and the cyber defense unit has alerted the owners of these cameras.
Authorities urge the public to change their passwords and update their software to prevent security risks. The attacks targeted poorly secured cameras, and experts suggest that the images obtained could be used to assess damage or gather information about the habits of the targeted individuals. This issue of cyber attacks between Iran and Israel has been recurrent, intensified in the context of current tensions.
