The Israeli Air Force destroyed an official aircraft used by the former Iranian supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran. The IDF claims that the plane was used by Khamenei and other high-ranking officials to advance military acquisitions and manage relations with Axis countries. The destruction of this "strategic asset" is considered a significant blow to Iran's coordination capabilities with proxy groups and to the strengthening of the regime's military power.
Previously, the Islamic Air Forces attacked and destroyed 16 aircraft at the same airport, suspected of being used by the Quds Force to support terrorist groups such as Hezbollah. Additionally, Iran has moved the aircraft to storage areas to avoid identification by Israel.
