On Tuesday, Israeli planes attacked several targets in the city of Gaza, including a residential building in the Sabra neighborhood and an area near the Shifa hospital. Following these attacks, at least two people were killed, and four others were injured. The office of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that the attack was a response to an alleged violation of the ceasefire by Hamas, which delivered a coffin with the remains of a deceased hostage, already returned to the family.
The ceasefire agreement, supported by the United States, came into effect on October 10, ending a two-year conflict triggered by Hamas's attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023. Both Israel and Hamas have accused each other of violating the terms of the truce.
Hamas stated that it respects the terms of the truce, while Netanyahu is looking for excuses to evade Israel's obligations.
