The Irish regulator has launched an investigation into how Elon Musk-owned platform X used Europeans' personal data to train its Grok artificial intelligence model. The investigation focuses on the processing of data from public posts on X, looking at compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This investigation comes after an earlier suspension of the use of EU citizens' data to train AI models, sparking tensions between the EU and the US.
