Ali Larijani, the head of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, stated that the transition process after the assassination of the supreme leader Ali Khamenei will begin on Sunday.
An interim leadership council, consisting of a president, the head of the judiciary, and a jurist from the Guardian Council, will take over responsibilities until the election of the next leader. Larijani emphasized that this council will be established as soon as possible, with work already underway to form it. He also warned against attempts to divide Iran, urging citizens to unite and not tolerate such actions.
