Abbas Araghchi, the head of Iranian diplomacy, stated that Iran does not wish for either a ceasefire or negotiations with the United States in the context of the escalating conflict in the Middle East. He emphasized that, in the past, negotiations with the U.S. have been accompanied by attacks, making a new discussion impossible. Iran is preparing to face a possible ground invasion, promising a "disaster" for the invaders.
Additionally, Iranian state television reported that Revolutionary Guard drones attacked the American aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, although CENTCOM denied these claims.
American President Donald Trump mentioned the possibility of sending ground troops, but the White House stated that this is not part of current plans. Araghchi asserted that the choice of Iran's supreme leader is an internal matter, in which no one should intervene.
