The Turkish mass media reported that Iran launched a third ballistic missile towards the Incirlik airbase on Friday night at 02:30, Romania time. The missile was intercepted by NATO's air defense systems, according to security protocols, and sirens sounded at the base. The incident raised concerns among local residents who observed flaming objects in the sky, believed to be fragments of the missile. Although no explosions were recorded on the ground, debris fell on an open area in Gaziantep province without causing casualties.
Previously, two ballistic missiles were also intercepted by NATO, and the Turkish Ministry of Defense confirmed the neutralization of a missile launched from Iran. The President of Turkey called for an end to the conflict in Iran to prevent escalating tensions in the Middle East.
