Iran organizes the funeral of Ali Khamenei, four months after the leader's death.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is preparing to organize the largest funeral in its history for the former supreme leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed on February 28.

The ceremonies will last six days and will take place in five cities in Iran and Iraq, with strict security measures. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the head of the negotiating team, has called on the Iranian people to participate in large numbers at the funeral and has demanded revenge for the leader's death. Expectations are that approximately 20 million people will gather in Tehran, where the funeral will begin at the Mosala Mosque.

Several ceremonies will also take place in the cities of Qom, Karbala, and Najaf, and Khamenei will be buried in Mashhad.
