Iran launched an attack on the Al Minhad airbase in the United Arab Emirates, where British, American, and Australian troops are stationed. A rocket hit the base on Wednesday morning, causing minor damage, including to a barracks and a medical unit, but no casualties. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stated that all of the more than 100 Australian soldiers deployed there are safe. Although he did not confirm that the base was the direct target of the attack, Albanese accused Iran of carrying out random attacks in the region. President Donald Trump criticized Western allies for their refusal to send military ships to the area to reopen maritime routes.
