French investigators conducted searches at the offices of the Swiss bank 'Edmond de Rothschild' as part of a corruption investigation targeting Fabrice Aidan, a French diplomat mentioned in documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. Aidan, who worked at the UN between 2006 and 2013 and later at the bank, is accused of passive corruption, being suspected of having transmitted confidential information to Epstein between 2010 and 2016. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched an administrative investigation against him, while the bank is cooperating with the authorities and has initiated an internal investigation. Ariane de Rothschild, the head of the bank, was present during the searches, and the bank stated that it was unaware of Epstein's behavior. This complicated situation raises questions about the integrity of the institution and its connections to the Epstein scandal.
