The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that it has received almost 150 reports of wrongdoing by Mohamed al-Fayed, the former owner of Harrods department store, following an investigation that resumed last year. The allegations include rape and sexual assault against several female store employees. Scotland Yard is investigating how previous inquiries were handled and has identified 90 potential victims. Harrods has launched a compensation program for women who allege they were abused by al-Fayed.
