The scheduled August 15 meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin is expected to discuss Russian-controlled Ukrainian territories, according to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. He emphasized the importance of Ukraine's sovereignty and its right to decide its geopolitical future. Rutte said the meeting could be an important step in the negotiations, including on security guarantees. Trump could also invite Volodimir Zelensky to the talks, while European officials emphasize that Ukraine's borders should not be changed.
