The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has called for maximum military restraint after Israel reported that an Iranian missile struck the city of Dimona, where a nuclear research facility is located.

The IAEA confirmed that it had not received information about damage to the research center in Negev and that no abnormal radiation levels had been recorded following the incident. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi emphasized the importance of restraint in proximity to nuclear infrastructures.

Following the attack, the Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom reported 47 injured, including a severely injured boy and a woman in moderate condition.

The IAEA had previously called for restraint in the context of the attack on the Iranian uranium enrichment facility in Natanz.
