The party led by Viktor Orban has proposed constitutional amendments that would ban the annual LGBTQ+ march and expel dual citizens. The changes would also enshrine in the constitution that Hungary recognizes only two genders, male and female, and the right to cash payments. Orban has repeatedly criticized LGBTQ+ people and promised measures against foreign funding of independent media and NGOs.
