Péter Szijjártó commented on Facebook that the recent customs agreement between the EU and the US highlights the need for a change of leadership in Brussels. While he does not see the agreement as disadvantageous, he regrets that it was not finalized sooner, arguing that EU tariffs on the US should have been reduced to protect the European economy. Szijjjártó accuses the European Commission, led by Ursula von der Leyen, of damaging the European economy because of inefficient management of tariffs.
