Houthi rebels in Yemen have attacked US warships with ballistic missiles in the Red Sea.

The attack took place in the Gulf of Aden and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, with Houthi rebels saying they targeted several US warships while they were protecting two American merchant ships. A Houthi spokesman said several ballistic missiles hit their target despite attempts by warships to intercept them.
