S&P Global said Harvard University's AAA credit rating is sufficiently robust to withstand fiscal threats except in extreme cases. The relationship between Harvard and former President Donald Trump has deteriorated, with Trump suspending funding and attempting to block admission of international students. While there are financial uncertainties, Harvard has the resources to diversify its revenue. Other universities, such as Swarthmore College, have begun to feel the impact of Trump's proposed policies. S&P will better assess the situation in September.
