The ship's doctor and a guide are in isolation in the Netherlands, while other patients are hospitalized in South Africa and Switzerland. Although he feels vulnerable, Kornfeld is optimistic and in good condition. All passengers are considered high-risk contacts and will be monitored for 42 days. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control will evaluate Americans upon their return, without mandatory quarantine.
