The Hamas group has announced that it is not interested in truce talks in Gaza, calling on the world to pressure Israel to end the "famine war" in the territory. The statements come in the context of a new Israeli military campaign and a severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where continuous bombardment has led to high civilian casualties. Since the beginning of the conflict on October 7, 2023, the death toll has risen significantly, with more than 52,000 deaths in Gaza, according to data provided by Hamas.
