The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, barricaded in the Rafah area, declared that they refuse to surrender to Israel. They have asked mediators to find a solution for the crisis that threatens the ceasefire agreement, which has been in effect for a month. Sources close to the negotiations suggested a proposal in which the terrorists could hand over their weapons in exchange for a safe passage to other areas in Gaza. Egyptian mediators proposed that the terrorists provide details about the tunnels in Rafah in exchange for a safe exit. The Al-Qassam Brigades accused Israel of the recent confrontations in the area and emphasized that mediators must ensure the continuity of the ceasefire. Since the establishment of the agreement, Rafah has been the scene of violent attacks, resulting in casualties on both sides.
