An armed attack on a bar in Guayas province, Ecuador, left 17 people dead and 11 injured.

Ecuador's attorney general's office confirmed the attack, saying several armed men opened fire on customers. More than 40 pieces of evidence have been collected from the scene, and images captured show bodies lying on the floor, some covered with white sheets. Investigations are ongoing.
