At the beginning of the week, company X announced the implementation of 'technological tools' to prevent the use of Grok in altering real images of people for sexual purposes. Company representatives emphasized 'zero tolerance' towards non-consensual nudity and sexual exploitation. However, an investigation by The Guardian revealed that the Grok Imagine application remains accessible via browser, allowing the generation of sexualized images and videos from ordinary photographs. These materials can be quickly distributed on platform X, becoming accessible to the public.

Women's rights organizations criticized the company, stating that the existence of a method to bypass the restrictions demonstrates a lack of real action. Activists have called for intervention from authorities, emphasizing that the availability of these tools constitutes a serious violation of consent. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer described the AI-generated images as 'scandalous,' stating that freedom of expression does not justify the violation of the right to consent.

Ofcom has launched an investigation to assess X's compliance with online safety legislation, and similar investigations are taking place in other countries. The Grok issue raises questions about the responsibility of tech companies in the context of artificial intelligence development. Although generative AI is seen as an innovative tool, experts warn that without strict regulations, it can facilitate harassment and abuse, especially against women. Pressure on platform X is increasing, and the findings of the investigations could lead to significant changes in how these technologies are managed.
