A wax statue of President Emmanuel Macron was stolen by Greenpeace activists from the Grevin Museum in Paris and deposited in front of the Russian Embassy. The protest was motivated by the perception that France maintains trade ties with Russia despite its stated support for Ukraine. Greenpeace stressed Macron's responsibility in this context, demanding a review of trade deals with Russia. Three activists broke into the museum under the pretext of being employees, stealing the statue valued at €40,000.
