Google has partnered with Brookfield Asset Management to secure 3 GW of hydropower in a 20-year contract valued at $3 billion. This comes amid growing demand for renewable energy for data centers. Google will also invest $25 billion to develop data centers in Pennsylvania. The agreement includes upgrades to hydropower and expanding the partnership in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions.
