Google has opened an Artificial Intelligence center in Berlin, part of a 5.5 billion euro investment in Germany's digital future, the largest economy in Europe.

The center will integrate AI development operations, cloud computing, and data infrastructure, facilitating collaboration between startups and research centers. However, Janis Hecker from Bitkom emphasized that the German government does not fully understand the implications of these technologies, underestimating their importance. It is also noted that the USA accumulates more computing power annually than Germany in total.

Despite the challenges, Google's commitment is seen as a positive step for Germany, which aims to develop essential digital infrastructures for AI integration. At the same time, questions arise regarding Europe's dependence on American tech giants, and experts suggest that Europe should specialize in the use of industrial data to develop specific AI solutions.
