Google has agreed to a $5 billion settlement to resolve a class-action lawsuit over its collection of user data.

The settlement comes as a result of a class-action lawsuit launched against the tech giant in 2020, which accused it of invading people's privacy by collecting user data even when they were browsing 'privately'. Although it disputed the allegations, Google has agreed to the settlement, which is to be sent to court for approval.
