The German Ministry of Economy has announced that in 2026 it will launch tenders for a total capacity of 12 gigawatts of power plants, focusing on natural gas plants. German authorities believe that these tenders are essential for ensuring the continuity of electricity supply in the context of the energy transition. Through this initiative, Germany aims to enhance energy security and respond to increasing consumption demands while moving towards a more sustainable economy.
