The German Minister of Defense, Boris Pistorius, announced the deployment of Eurofighter fighter jets to the Malbrok airbase in Poland, as part of efforts to strengthen the protection of NATO's eastern flank.
This action comes in the context of a new NATO mission, called Eastern Sentry, which aims to enhance air security in Eastern Europe, in response to violations of air borders by Russia.
Pistorius emphasized the importance of Germany's active and visible presence in this region, stating that the response to Russian challenges will be decisive and effective. This deployment underscores Germany's commitment to the security of allies in Eastern Europe.
