German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has announced the coordination of humanitarian aid by the defense minister, in collaboration with France and the UK, who will provide airlifts of food and medicine. While the aid is appreciated, Merz emphasized that it is insufficient for the Gaza population. Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares said Spain would organize airlifts for some 5,000 people, but called for a steady flow of aid unimpeded through UN agencies.
