A survey of hospital managers in Germany shows that more than half of them face significant financial problems.

According to the survey, 28% of hospitals could become insolvent by the end of the year. The situation is worse for small and public hospitals. The German government has promised a reform of hospital financing, but uncertainties persist and many managers expect many hospitals to be forced to merge in the medium to long term.
