London's Gatwick Airport was affected by a power outage that led to a lack of running water, resulting in the closure of restrooms and some restaurants.
ES Water, the water supplier for the Surrey, Kent, and south London area, confirmed that the issue arose at a water treatment station in Bough Beech and that teams are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Although flights were not affected, passengers and staff have bottled water available.
SES Water thanked customers and partners for their patience, emphasizing that they are working closely with the airport to restore normal services.
