On Sunday, April 12, two pilots sparked amusement and confusion near Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington when they began making animal sounds, including meows and barks, on the flight frequencies. An air traffic controller quickly intervened, asking them to be more professional in their communication.

The recording shows the controller saying: "Guys, you need to be professional." However, the pilots continued to have fun, which prompted a sharp reaction from the controller, who commented: "That's why you're still flying an RJ," referring to regional jets, perceived as an inferior option among pilots. This incident brought a moment of humor to the daily routine of aviation, highlighting the sometimes relaxed nature of interactions between pilots and air traffic controllers.
