In 2025, the FSB, the internal intelligence service of Russia, received nearly 150,000 calls, of which 68,785 were messages to the central headquarters in Moscow. Of these, 455 contained useful information, while the regional FSB antenna received 77,772 messages, with 15,233 having operational relevance.

The FSB, responsible for internal security and counterintelligence, intensified its activities after the start of the offensive in Ukraine in February 2022. Following investigations, 18 individuals were prosecuted for acts of terrorism and sabotage, while others were prosecuted for false threats. The FSB also prevented attempts at fraud targeting thousands of Russians, emphasizing that phone lines are often saturated due to the high number of calls received.
