France will produce military drones in Ukraine in a unique partnership with a car company

France will produce drones in Ukraine through a partnership between a major French car company and a defense SME, Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Lecornu has announced. The production will take place directly in Ukraine and will serve both the Ukrainian army and the French forces for training adapted to the realities on the frontline. Lecornu acknowledged that the Ukrainians are more advanced in the use and development of drone tactics. By 2025, Ukraine estimates that it will use more than 4.5 million drones in the fight against Russian forces. The French minister also stressed the need to reform France's drone programs, criticizing the slowness of the current procurement system.
