Foodinho SRL, the company managing Glovo in Italy, has been placed under judicial control by the Milan Prosecutor's Office, aimed at overseeing the management's activities to correct illegal practices. The sole administrator, Oscar Pierre, is being investigated for organizing a work system that affects approximately 40,000 riders, with monthly earnings between 700 and 1,200 euros, under difficult working conditions. Riders were required to make between 10 and 25 deliveries per day, and the costs for bicycles were borne by them. The investigation is based on statements from the couriers, who reported constant pressure and lack of protection in case of accidents. Foodinho, founded in 2015 and fully owned by Glovo, does not have the parent companies targeted in this investigation. Judicial control allows the current management to remain, but under the supervision of judicial administrators.
