The fire broke out on the seventh floor of the main building of a telecommunications company in Cairo, injuring 22 people. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the blaze while the area was cordoned off by security forces. The fire disrupted telecoms services and online payments for several hours. Authorities said services would be restored shortly. This is not the first time a major fire has affected the area, recalling a similar incident in 2019.
